Good buy.

I bought this after my old HP printer crapped out. I had some trouble in the beginning with setting up the wi-fi, but quickly figured out it was my wi-fi not my printer. The printer cartridges are super cheap in comparison to other printers. It does come with cartridges but be warned that they aren't full sized ones, they are just sample size. I am in graduate school and it prints large page amounts with out jamming and is pretty quick. I would recommend. It's a middle of the road printer, nothing fancy, but does what I need.

Easy set-up and reliable printing
By Steven Gordon
Right in the heart of tax preparation for my home business, my old HP printer began giving me errors. I had wanted to replace it "eventually" with a wireless printer that could serve the Macs, iOS devices, and PC around the house. I read reviews about this and other HP printers. Reports about paper jams were alarming but I decided to try this printer. Its main selling points were wireless capabilities and duplex printing.

Setting up the printer was very easy. HP has done its work in making installation work seamlessly. I was surprised that wireless setup was easy--no getting into all the technical specs of my router, setting up a network ID for the device, or requesting the network password.

Immediately I tested the printer by printing from the Windows 7 PC, Mac mini, and iPod touch. All devices printed directly to the HP 3520 without fussy dialog boxes to navigate.

So far I've printed 50 to 60 pages without a hiccup. No jams, no difficulty grabbing a sheet of paper out of the tray, no problems of any kind. I think one of the personality traits of the paper tray design is that you pull it all the way out to make it easy to load paper. But then you have to push it back in until it clicks into place it about 3 inches out from the front panel of the printer. This is how I've done it and I haven't had the paper jam problems others report.

Also, the scan software works wirelessly. I was a bit surprised that it would scan a picture at my customized setting of 300 dpi and send it wirelessly to the Mac mini. I had expected having to attach the printer to the Mac by USB cord. What a convenience to utilize this printer's functions without resorting to a wired connection for any of them.

I recommend this printer to anyone looking for a home business or office printer.

A good basic all in one printer.

I have been using it for a short time but I am satisfies with it. Easy to install, easy function keys. Not too loud. It will certainly do the job I need it for.The price is quite reasonable for the quality of the printing.
