Faster than lesser models

I had the D1120 for my sales tower to use as a copier and network printer. its simple and worked fine, this model is alot faster in response and printing. Definitely a step up if you have a busy area also this is a fax machine whereas the D1120 is not.

My only complaint is that the display is cluttered and confusing. If you dont have a knack for technology it will take you awhile to get use to what is what, if you do, it will still take you some time initially.

Fantastic for Small Business Use

This is the second Canon multi-function machine that I have purchased and I just love them. My first one was the Imageclass MF6590 and it served my busy apartment leasing office very well for 4 years. The only problem was that it could not be connected to a network of computers. My new Imageclass D1350 can be connected to a network and the speed and quality of the printer, scanner, fax machine and copier is wonderful for my use. This machine retails for $599.00 if you purchase it from the manufacturer and, with shipping, I would have paid $650.00 for it. I bought it from Amazon for $399.00 and paid no shipping charges. I ordered it on Dec. 17th and received it on Dec. 21st. You just can't beat that. I highly recommend this machine to any small business owner. Another plus is that I can purchase the toner for this machine for $99.99 from Tangerine Office Express instead of paying $149.00 from the manufacturer. Awesome deal!

Canon Printer is not Mac friendly

This rating applies to persons using this printer with an Apple Macintosh computer. The software and drivers provided by Canon make it difficult to use this printer in an office environment. There is very little control over how the printer operates. For example, if you want to print from the bypass tray, you have to walk over to the printer and confirm that choice. It should be controlled from the printer. I have called Canon and learned that the drivers for the Mac do not provide the same functions as with a Windows computer. Also, the user manual is based on the Windows operating system and does not provide much guidance for the Mac user. The printer itself is fine.
